Corel LinuxOS was indeed a ground-breaking and very impressive distro.
I think I gave it one or two very favourable reviews, way back when.

But it didn't die, even though its parent stabbed it in the back. It
became Xandros, which was also pretty damned good in its time:

Xandros went off to chase the netbook market and let their desktop
version wither on the vine, which is a bit of a shame, but probably
was commercially sensible at the time. It's hard to go up against
Ubuntu.
