Ah, I guess things are the same here then. Plenty of hoohah going on 
right now trying to get the local Mafia to cough up their money but we 
all know it is all a smokescreen.

Because Bill Gates had the cheek to ask his underling how much it would 
take to buy off a Chinese official he was having trouble with and asked 
that right in front of the person concerned while assuming the chap did 
not understand English.

It has been at least a decade since I heard that story.
