Ha! Too bad we have the likes of Lenovo not doing much better either. 
Done some motherboard replacements due to blown caps, all near the end 
of the three year warranty. Still got a few more Lenovos that are still 
going (those must get plenty of ventilation of something to not heat up 
and blow...) but I sure ain't buying another Lenovo. As for the case 
mentioned in the article, I have known about it for a long time already 
but it won't stop me from getting a Dell. I have not had problems with 
their newer models.

Bad batches/models are common in IT space. They don't make that big a 
difference unless you have something against the company. Like how I 
will never buy anything Sony today.

Dell dying? Hahahaha.
