I've seen some Linux based HTPCs before, and their specs are often an
afterthought. They aren't given much in the way of real computing
horsepower, and are often underpowered. Some slap in a Linux distro
nobody's ever heard of before and they call it an HTPC. Finally
someone's found the brains to fix this problem and build a Linux based
HTPC that's actually worth something.

The EVTV, a new Home Theater PC from ElementMyPC.com actually has some
half-way decent specs. Have a look ...

The most unique feature of the whole unit is the Palm sized wireless
keyboard and touchpad remote control. It features a QWERTY keyboard
similar to those found on the Palm Pixi and Blackberry phones. Where
the screen would be is a notebook style touchpad mouse.

The operating system is an Ubuntu derivative called Element Desktop.
It sorta resembles Ubuntu Netbook Remix in some respects. It comes
pre-installed with XBMC, Hulu Desktop for Linux, Boxee Net TV,
Firefox, and more. Its designed for HDTVs and was built to look like
it belongs with the rest of your home theater equipment. About damn
time someone built a decent Linux based HTPC.
