It's interesting how different people are in different localities. My
own experience (age 58, USian mid-west) is that people my age don't even
want to use computers, much less learn anything about them. I don't
know a single other soul in my age group (or near it) who is the least
bit computer-savvy.
Those around me who /do/ at least have a computer can barely get around
in Winduhs and wouldn't know an upgrade from an applecart (do they
still have those?). If I happen to mention Ubuntu they think it's a
new browser in competition with their beloved Internet Exploder.
