Didn't think of it that way.  If you take that perspective you're
right, but it means missing out on new developers for 2 years.
However, like with 9.10 some transitions aren't as smooth.  I remember
9.10's launch was pretty rocky there for a while until some of the
problems were fixed.  No new OS launch is perfect.  God, Vista's
launch was FUBAR.
