There's nothing in the GPL that says you can't make money off Linux.
If you do you need to make the change you make accessible to others
(ie; the source code).  This is how Redhat was able to grow into the
company it is today.  If the GPL restricted making money from open
source software (ie; Linux) then Redhat, the company, wouldn't exist.
There is absolutely nothing Socialist about open source.  In fact is
more Capitalist than Closed Source.
