It looks like both the Linux and Mac drivers do use CUPS. I guess if
you're not as zealous about source, it's no issue - but it's things
like for EG, if they gave us source the 32-bit/64-bit support wouldn't
be an issue and it could be included with the base installation of a
distro. It sets us all back if we accept patchy binary-only driver
support.
