Yep! And surprisingly usable even in VirtualBox. As I've said, the
main thing is to allocate it lots and lots of memory. This is a slick
version of Vista, but its backside is still as fat as Vista's - it'll
use 1 gig just doing nothing.

But any Ubuntu advocate should give Windows 7 a run, at the very least
to know what they're talking about.
