I think you chose to include the wrong snippet to reply to.  Clearly 
"eternal hard drives" shouldn't have a durability issue... :-)

I could use them.  I've reached the point where laptops are so cheap and 
drives are so comparatively expensive, that I replace my laptop when the 
drive fails.
