Ubuntu Repositories

Well, adding repos has gotten simpler since I started using Ubuntu.  I
actually like the idea of software repositories protected by
encryption keys.  It makes finding and installing new software on
Linux a breeze and whenever I show that feature to someone they're
often very impressed.  You don't see anything like this for Windows
except third-party stuff like Steam and Impulse which don't deliver OS
updates but strictly 3rd party apps (games from Steam, games and
productivity applications from Impulse).  There is Windows Update, but
it pales in comparison to the utility of Aptitude.
