Well, I have the opposite opinion - I keep trying Gnome when KDE annoys me 
enough, and I keep going back to KDE.  Even in its current (4.2) broken 
state, it's better than Gnome, and _slightly_ better than 3.5.  

I'm in the process of trying to upgrade to 4.3, but somebody else seems to 
want the bandwidth... (this link is capable of MB/s download speeds, but 
there's throttling if I hold a connection open more than a few seconds, that 
drags it down to 3KB/s or even less).
