What you say is true *to an extent*, however the academic standards have 
been lowered in an attempt to comply with the newest thinking on 
teaching methods which includes not letting the little darlings taste 
failure. Additionally, since the shallow thinkers in congress mandated 
the AIMS test, teachers have begun teaching the test rather than the 
subject. Who would have thought? To this extent the education is a 
failure.
