You have to excuse "our" love-hate relationship with our country (the
US).  Our deep distrust of central government (on the part of many of
us) is often matched by an inexplicable love for the country as
idealized in our minds.  Sort of like ,e believing in my heart and
mind that my wife is the most beautiful lady around.  Probably not
accurate on many levels, but it expresses my personal view 100%.  And
it makes both of us happy.
