Also note that Linux Mint is not just based on Ubuntu it is, IMHO, a
rebranded Ubuntu with a unique interface, it's main 'selling' point is
being not only multimedia ready but attempts to build on Ubuntu's
cutting edge-ness with more 'working out of the box'-iness.

I hope that just as Ubuntu's improvements make their way to
Debian, that improvements made downstream from Ubuntu make their way
