If it an unreasonable request to ask that you at least /try/ something
new and different then we really have no common ground at all.  After
all, I didn't even suggest that you switch for good, only that you
widen your horizons /by trying something new/.  If that is unacceptable
to you, then I guess we have nothing further to talk about. 
 
How did you come to try Linux, anyway?  Wasn't it new and different?
Did it not widen your horizons?
