Tracking Cookies on Ubuntu

Hello,
Linux is well-known for being a safe operating system and its users
usually don't have to worry about anti-virus programs if they aren't
running a mail server.
There are indeed very few -- close to no-- virusses active for Linux.
However, cookies are platform independant and can be safed at all
platforms if a browser that supports cookies is being used.
The greatest part of the result list of programs like Spybot S&D
consists of tracking cookies. So on Windows you can track them down
and remove them. In Ubuntu however, there is no such program available
and the tracking cookies keep living happily in your browser for
eternity if you visit the right website often enough.
Should Ubuntu provide an application, possibly integrated with
Computer Janitor, that checks for such things? Although it would have
a negative effect on Linux' image of being a virusless OS, it could be
of great use to the users and make people more aware that even on
Linux you should be careful with security.
I think we should, but I'm curious what others think of this.
Kind regards,
--
