Absolutely true - but the criterion "reproducible" is only one of
many (very useful, I hasten to add), and science is actually an
outgrowth of philosophy too. That's what the Shakespearean
usage means in the famous "More things in heaven and earth than are
dreamt of in your philosophy" quote. More fully, from that era it would
have been "natural philosophy".
I'm kind of being the Devil's Advocate to an extent, you realise...
