I share your view of foreign language skills being beneficial for
mastering mother tongue. I see myself as an example of this, as I feel
that when I became better in English, I also started to use my own
language (Finnish) more consciously and precisely. I'm also more
confident and perhaps even more creative with my mother tongue now.
