So what? Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, but I just wanted to point
out that an awful lot of the problem (in my view) seems to be with
people wanting to label others (in terms of belief/non-belief/whatever).
I personally am not even sure what I believe in (once upon a time I
used to tell folks who inquired that I was either an atheist or an
agnostic, but I wasn't sure which and wasn't even sure I cared). Today
my goal is simply to be open-minded. My main goal is to assure that if
tomorrow my beliefs radically change that it won't create any sort of
crisis in my own mind.

But even that is a distraction. The best thing everyone can bring to
the table (believers, Believers, non-believers and everyone else) is
more tolerance. Rather than disagreeing so quickly I would highly
recommend instead trying to understand (without criticizing) how others
view the world. If you look carefully, you'll find that those with
opposing opinions often have insights you haven't stumbled across
yourself yet. Some of them may even be quite valuable.

Again, despite the fact I'm replying directly to Amedee, I'm not really
seeking to quarrel (it's just that this was the most recent post in the
thread).
     be well,
         ~c
