I was trying to articulate this, and you did it well - thanks Ari!

The elitism and thick-skinned precondition for being involved in Linux
and Open Source in general is one of those things that keeps a lot of
folks out of it and prevents us from fixing Bug #1.

Ubuntu and the Code of Conduct seek to address this, which is why some
of these personal attacks, flame wars and bike shedding is not welcome
on Sounder (or any Ubuntu lists, -users was brought up in this
discussion as well and we in the CC are aware of this behavior there
too and are working to address it).
