Is Ubuntu becoming the generic Linux distro?

And if you use only "Ubuntu" instead of "Ubuntu Linux", then you don't
have to decide which one to use,  "Ubuntu Linux" and "Ubuntu
Gnu/Linux",  when writing documentation.
