It seems to me to all boils down to the fact that the thin-lipped need
to grow a thicker skin.  Everyone deals every day with goons who don't
know how to act properly in a host of situations or just with those
whose ideas and philosophies don't entirely jibe with their own. Most
times it should slide right off the backs of regular folks.
This is not to make light of the overall problem, of course, just to
convey that it could be a lot more serious than it is.
