This list only seems to be able to come alive for discussions about
mailing list etiquette!

The position is perfectly simple: there are guidelines for mailing list
etiquette on Ubuntu lists; these include avoiding top posting and ensuring
that replies go to mailing lists.

Not everybody follows these guidelines, but that is to be expected. If a
dispute arises, please just refer to these guidelines, and move on. That
is why they exist.
