I don't mean that I have a distaste for *all* his ideas! 

I was clarifying that I disagreed with those quoted in the post regarding
IQs , crime, etc, which I shall not repeat here, because I do not think
they should ever have been raised in this context.. I was also clarifying
that I disagreed with those quotes being used to imply that ESR should not
be welcome.

There is a distinction between recognising people's contributions and
finding some of their views, shall we say, disagreeable ( that's an
attempt to be charitable - I would perhaps prefer to use a stronger
word ). 

As long as people follow the Code of Conduct while working with
the Ubuntu community, they are welcome as far as I'm concerned,
regardless of their personal opinions.
