Repository errors?

I realise the developers are hard at work fixing this bug:

But I'm somewhat suprised that it has been 24 hours now and (unless I
missed it) no official word from anyone warning users to hold off on
upgrading, or at least not to panic and try to get the new kernel to
install (and thus ending up with no kernel).

The bug report seems to indicate that the cause is understood and that
there may be a timeline for a fix.
