I wasn't outraged, I thought it was ironic. He was convicted of
uploading a movie to a file sharing site. I don't know anything about
his case so I don't know how "guilty" he feels about that. In this
article he also didn't complain about any of the other side effects of
a felony conviction.

However as a result of his punishment if he wants to stay online he
has to buy a copy of Windows. And because it's Windows, if he doesn't
pay extra for antivirus software, Windows malware could leave his
computer open to illegal exploitation by someone else.

It just seems like an ironic loop.
