hmmm. Didn't try that. Generally I don't reboot or shutdown, I hibernate
(which somebody else reports isn't working, but IWFM) using kpowersave. For
testing that upstart works for me, I was just using "reboot -f" from the
commandline for a quick shutdown.
Anyway, unlike the previous two tries I had with edgy, there are no
showstoppers here. Nothing works "worse" than before, except that I can't
get booted into a true single user mode (since installing upstart) and
that's something I rarely do.
