Wow, it seems that Linux is really starting to make it, it's not just
my/our day dreaming !

I made a little website 3 and half years ago, and put a "counter" on
the homepage, so as to get some statistics about the visitors.

I watch it once a year or so, usually at the site's birthday as that
makes me think of it. Anyway, I remember when I launched the site, it
was all Windows and internet Explorer and traces of MacOS.
But last year I started to see Firefox listed ! And tonight I decided
to have a look at the stats again, and they have evolved again ! In the
right direction ! There are now "only" 73% of people using Internet
Explorer to browse the site, and 22% use... Firefox !
And on the OS front, Linux used to be absent from the charts, but now
it has appeared, and represents 3%, that's not nothing, and it's
actually MORE than MacOS which represents only 2% !
Can't believe it, Linux is already at least as popular/used as MacOS,
that's quite a milestone ! :o)

So I am very happy indeed, Linux is really starting to find its way
into the home user market !

Of course these stats could be meaningless depending on the audience of
the site. But that's precisely why I am so happy... with the site we
sell stuff to a niche "market", and from experience I know that the
audience is extremely eclectic, with regard to age, revenue, type of
job activity, social "class", and level of computing skills.
So I think the stats are indeed meaningful.

Does anyone have stats as well from websites, what comes out of
it ?? :-)
