Ok... I see how to do that now... Thanks. I just didn't look deeply
enough. What I should have said is MY Thunderbird setup only uses one
SMTP setting for multiple accounts (and it works fine that way).

My intention in the thread above was simply to HELP other frustrated
gmail users and it does work. I hope others will find it useful.

Thanks for the heads up on the multiple SMTP servers with Thunderbird.
