Now that's just rude. Derek is one of the regulars on -users and is
helping people all the time. Not only that but he is one of the few who
actually have a clue and give good advice. You said you aren't that
interested in what goes on on -users, but let me tell you there are not
enough people like Derek.

I'm split on the issue of what's allowed on -users. I see your point,
but IMHO people are pushed to sounder too often. As I see it things like
discussions of GPL misunderstanding are a technical issue in a Free OS.
