I've never tried the upgrade tool. I'm an "old school" OS upgrade
(regardless of what OS it is) and backup personal files (e.g. ~ ) and do
a clean install.
But I'm curious. is there a CLI version of the upgrade tool. I'm not
particularly fond of the applet that notifies me of upgrades. I prefer
doing that from the CLI in a terminal. I like to see what's going on.
If there is such a version of it, I might give it a try next time around
and see how it goes (I'll still back up though, just in case).
