It really isn't - the problem is that if I change my kdm settings, then the
next time kdm is updated I get the message that a config file has been
changed, do I want to overwrite it with the package version or keep the
original?  After a dozen or so times, I gave up and let it install its own
version.  So I should probably file a wishlist item (if it hasn't been done
already) but it is behaving properly.
