In the interest of completeness, I'd like to point out that it appears
that for the case of NVidia cards, the discussion we were having as to
how difficult it would be to provide configuration for Xinerama/TwinView
etc. is moot, because we have a similar solution in Ubuntu as they have
in Windows; NVidia did the work.

man nvidia-xconfig for details, assuming you're using the proprietary
driver.

So the gap here is in our documentation.
