I'm running Dapper and indeed it enabled DMA by default on my computer.

The same can't be said for the following on the same computer.

Ubuntu Breezy
Ubuntu Hoary
Debian Sid
Debian Etch
Fedora Core 4

I know next to zilch about this stuff. Is it kernel related perhaps? Has
the problem been solved by virtue of having a newer kernel?
