I agree with you 100% and have spent most of my 11 years in front of a
computer running Windows.  But then we're above average computer users...

I'm one of the few who doesn't believe in "late" in these discussions if
you have something good to contribute. I read stuff that's 5 days old.
More often than not, it's no less significant or important than what was
said in the previous 12-24 h ours.

But alas, most folks on mailing lists do implement the "late penalty"
for some reason, which frustrates me to no end.

Even people without lives (like me) can't spend all of their days (or
even all of their computer time) glued to a single mailing list.

Examples can most likely be found in the messages I sent in the 30
minutes prior to this one (all in this tread).

Oh well...
