Sure I'll ask him if this is OK, I'm sure it will be.

Like a lot of Linux audio professionals he runs Gentoo - still
interested? ;-)

I think the prevalence of Gentoo in this field is due to none of the
binary distros packaging up to date versions of the most popular pro
audio apps (which we are trying to change).
