Status of the Firefox memory leak?

I was working on this issue recently and at the time I did come across 
some news that Macromedia were indeed looking at fixing that horrible 
issue. Unfortunately it isn't just Ubuntu that has trouble. The news I 
read was that Macromedia were now in the process of developing an 
updated Flash plugin that would fix the current audio sync problems are 
also integrate better with the common Linux audio architectures.

Now if only I could find where I read it.....
