Evolution terribly unstable

The Evolution 2.6 in Dapper is terribly unstable.

I was out of the country for 10 days and left it running to POP my mail
and it crashed after only 2 days, causing my mailbox to fill up and
start bouncing messages.  When I got back I tried to restore the missing
mailing list messages by importing from an mbox archive.  This caused a
100% reproducible crash.  I then tried to import manually by deleting
the files and replacing them with the complete mbox archive.  "Storing
folder..." made it to about 20% then stopped, with top showing the
evolution process as idle.

IOW I found 3 or 4 showstopper bugs in about 10 minutes.

Is this being worked on, and if not, is there any chance of shipping a
"known good" Evolution like 2.4 with Dapper?
