Dapper delay made official ??

Hi,

I just happened to check the Ubuntu "Planet" and saw that Corey Burger
said: "...as Ubuntu 6.04, more commonly known as Dapper, officially
became Ubuntu 6.06 today...."

If it's official, I would have expect such announcement to be made (with
more details...) on the official Ubuntu mailing lists, at least
ubuntu-announce. 
But I didn't spot any such message.... did I miss it somehow ?? :-(
