Eek, it does. :)  I could have just shown the line though.

It's obviously not Ubuntu, it's a system with pam_tcb.
(as installed)

Just to comment on the ability to (re)set root password in any
Linux system one might stumble upon: I don't even know if booting
with init=/bin/bash and then doing something like

mount -o rw,remount /
passwd
mount -o ro,remount /
<ctrl-alt-del>

is going to work on some RSBAC or maybe SELinux systems...

(using single mode on "pad" won't help an attacker since 
it will drop to sulogin after booting up)
