Hm, maybe you'll do me a favour and help with resetting one?

pad:~> sudo grep ^root: /etc/shadow 
Password:
root:x:13144::::::

The thing is, it is neither empty nor non-existant (I know it :).
(the system's also not storing it in /etc/passwd or external A&A)
