Take a picture of a house with your digicam. Try "painting" a wall. I
couldn't do it.

If you don't have a camera or digital photo to practice on, try one of
these:

They're not what I had in mind with my example, but
http://portgeographe.environmentaldisasters.cds.merseine.nu/PortGeographe-Pages/Image4.html
has some brightly-coloured floats you could try, and several have piles
of rotting seaweed you could try to make look like nice green grass:
this one maybe:

Yes sir, that there hill is one hundred per cent rotting seaweed right
along the beach where I used to swim ten years ago at the time of year
these pics were taken (Feb, one of the two hottest months of the year
here). Fair dinkum!

You're a tourism promoter, you want it to look good don't you?

I couldn't do that with The Gimp, could you? (I've never tried
photoshop, but judging from the folk I know who do it can't be all that
hard).

There are some photos (some not very good, some okay - it's a compact
digital camera with on-camera flash) at

Try "fixing" the over exposed bits.

btw Take a look at the pics, odds are good nobody here can identify any
of them except (maybe) a blackboy.

"pea" doesn't constitute identification.
