Thanks Andreas.
Unfortunately this "teamspeak" program is not in Synaptic (yes, I have
uni/multiverse enabled).
I tried www.teamspeak.com , loos like it, but I can't find a download
page, I fear it's proprietary AND not free, as apparently the software
is the only product the company has to make business. I tried navigating
their site a bit, but once it told me that my browser was not
compatible, and that they support only Microsoft or Netscape browsers.
On another page, nothing would display at all, telling me I needed
Flash... which I DO have, but I guess they use Flahs 8...
All in all, this teamtalk is a sterotype of a proprietary app from start
to finish ! Nothing wrong with that of course. What I find wrong is that
Ubuntu uses such a program ! :-((( Is there no open source
equivalent ?!
Anyway, it's proprietary, you must pay to get it, so none of the
intended audience (end users), will be able to watch/listen to the
talks. So they might as well not bother with video conferencing at all,
and just make normal videos and upload them every evening, like they
used to for Dapper, IIRC. Much simpler for everyone I think...
