Installing a compiler by default

Not everyone needs a compiler, looks like you don't. The way Ubuntu is 
built, the average user doesn't need one and the packagers do all the 
hard work for you, AND they stay up to date on new stuff.

But if you do need a compiler (you'll know if you do) it's not as 
scary a prospect as it might seem.
