There are no python modules that are direct dependencies of
ubuntu-desktop itself, but there are some programs written in python
like deskbar-applet, Serpentine, the HP printing system and some
GNOME/Ubuntu configuration applets and system tools (e.g. the
update-manager) that might depend on those modules...
