Three weeks ago they were still trying to decide what audio API to use
for Flash 9. They've since decided on ALSA, ported Flash, and fixed the
AV sync bug.
The next Skype release (in beta now) also has ALSA support.
It seems that many ISVs have changed their tune since you last talked to
them ;-)
