Apple Digital Campus

Hey everyone. I was wondering what the Ubuntu community thought of the
new Apple Digital Campus program
(http://www.apple.com/education/hed/adc/ for basic information; though
there isn't much). Essentially, Apple has arranged with several
campuses to record and publish lectures via iTunes - as far as I can
tell only via iTunes. I can't find any information on the licensing of
the
lectures - can I distribute them outside of iTunes? was there any
collaboration with OLPC? what do little tidbits like the below quote
from MacNN actually refer to?

"Apple says it is partnering with the open source community to create
and support enterprise applications that enable a highly collaborative
and media rich learning environment."

Frankly, I'd like to be able to access these lectures apart from the
bombardment of advertising and DRM that is iTMS, especially as I'm
currently paying to attend one of the universities involved. Just
wondering if anyone here has any information about accessing the
lectures outside of iTunes, if Ubuntu was previously contacted about it
or if they would be interested in participating at some later point,
etc. Also, what are you opinions on the program and how it is being
promoted ("It provides a 'blueprint for implementing innovative
technology that transforms teaching and learning.'").

Cheers,
Brad
