Thanks, I've implemented that long ago *aside* mutt after
migrating to it from pine, having agreed to developers that
this kind of functionality doesn't really belong to MUA.

A little script that runs when no mutts are here (by hand;
approximately biweekly) leaves me a week's context and
rotates the rest of boxes named under some convention.

And expiration wasn't really referred to as a benefit here,
I guess. ;-)
