Hi,
We have a convention, we have broken our own convention, however it is
an easy enough situation to just re-educate both the media and ourselves
as Jane suggested.
For review:
We have had 3 development editions.
Warty Warthog
Hoary Hedgehog
Breezy Badger
We are currently in close to the two thirds line in terms of the current
development edition.
Dapper Drake
We have had three releases.
4.10
5.04
5.10
We are currently expecting the arrival of:
6.04
On the 20th of April 2006.
We don't need a new numbering scheme, we just need to call 5.10, 5.10.
Thus proving cool names exist for development, and when someone asks is
dapper coming out the correct answer should be, "We expect Dapper Drake
to be release 6.04.", this way we do not correct people but reinforce
the idea that the development name is not the release.
Confusion, what confusion? :-)

Paul O'Malley
